Clamly uses push notifications to keep your study sessions on track. You can opt in to receive timely reminders before study sessions, alerts as exams approach, and updates when you unlock achievements. All notifications are opt-in — you stay in full control.

Types of Notifications

Study Reminders

Get nudged when it’s time to start a scheduled study session, so you never let a session slip by.

Exam Alerts

Receive alerts as upcoming exams get closer, giving you time to review and prepare.

Achievement Updates

Find out the moment you unlock a new achievement or reach a study milestone.

Enabling Push Notifications

Push notifications require a one-time permission grant in your browser.
1

Open Your Profile Page

Click your avatar or initials in the top-right corner, then select Profile from the dropdown menu.
2

Go to Notification Settings

Scroll to the Notifications section on your Profile page.
3

Enable Notifications

Toggle on the notification types you want to receive. If your browser hasn’t granted permission yet, a browser prompt will appear asking you to Allow notifications from Clamly.
4

Click Allow in Your Browser

In the browser prompt, click Allow. Clamly will confirm that notifications are now active.
Push notifications are delivered through your browser. They work while Clamly is open in a tab, and in most modern browsers they can also appear when Clamly is running in the background.

Managing Notifications from Your Profile

Once you’ve enabled notifications, you can fine-tune exactly which types you receive without disabling everything.
1

Go to Profile → Notifications

Open the Notifications section on your Profile page.
2

Toggle Individual Types

Use the individual toggles to turn Study Reminders, Exam Alerts, and Achievement Updates on or off independently.
3

Save

Changes are saved automatically as you toggle each setting.
If you only want exam alerts during exam season, simply switch off study reminders and achievement updates — you don’t need to disable everything.

Disabling Notifications Through Browser Settings

If you want to stop all Clamly notifications at the browser level, you can revoke permission directly in your browser settings.
Go to Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Notifications. Find clamly.app in the list and set it to Block.
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Permissions → Notifications → Settings. Find clamly.app and change the status to Block.
Go to Safari → Settings → Websites → Notifications. Find clamly.app and set it to Deny.
Go to Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Notifications. Find clamly.app under the Allow list and remove it, or add it to the Block list.
Revoking browser-level permission disables all Clamly push notifications regardless of your in-app toggle settings. To re-enable them later, you’ll need to grant permission again from your Profile page.
