Why Connect Google Calendar?
Two-Way Sync
Exams you create in Clamly appear in Google Calendar automatically, keeping your schedule in one place.
Always Up to Date
Edit an exam date in Clamly and it updates in Google Calendar instantly — no duplicate entry needed.
Optional Integration
Google Calendar sync is entirely optional. Clamly works fully without it.
Privacy First
Clamly only accesses calendar event data — no other Google services, files, or account information.
How to Connect Google Calendar
Click Connect Google Calendar
Find the Google Calendar banner or button at the top of the Exams page and click Connect.
Authorise Access
A Google sign-in window will open. Choose the Google account whose calendar you want to sync, then review and accept the permissions Clamly requests.
You need an active Google account to use this integration. If you manage multiple Google accounts, make sure you select the correct one during the authorisation step.
What Access Does Clamly Request?
During authorisation, Clamly requests read and write access to your Google Calendar events. This access is used exclusively to:- Create calendar events for exams you add in Clamly
- Update those events when you edit an exam date, title, or subject
- Delete those events when you remove an exam from Clamly
What Syncs Between the Two Platforms?
Clamly → Google Calendar
Clamly → Google Calendar
Every exam entry you create in Clamly (including subject name, date, and any notes) is pushed to your connected Google Calendar as a calendar event. Updates and deletions in Clamly are mirrored to Google Calendar automatically.
Google Calendar → Clamly
Google Calendar → Clamly
Changes made directly to a Clamly-created event inside Google Calendar (such as date edits) are reflected back in your Clamly exam schedule, keeping both sides in sync.
How to Disconnect Google Calendar
You can revoke Clamly’s access to your Google Calendar at any time.
After disconnecting, your exams remain in Clamly as normal — they simply won’t sync to Google Calendar until you reconnect.
