Study groups let you turn solo studying into a shared experience. Whether you’re preparing for a big exam or working through a course with classmates, Clamly study groups give you a dedicated space to share quizzes, coordinate study sessions, and keep everyone on the same page — all without leaving the platform.

Creating a Study Group

Starting a group takes just a few seconds. Once you create one, you automatically become the Owner and can start inviting people right away.
1

Open the Groups tab

Navigate to the Collaboration section in the left sidebar and select Study Groups.
2

Create a new group

Click Create Group, enter a group name, and optionally add a short description so members know what it’s for.
3

Share your invite code

After the group is created, Clamly generates a unique invite code. Share this code with anyone you want to invite — they’ll enter it to join instantly.

Joining a Group

If a friend or classmate already has a group set up, you can join it in seconds using their invite code.
1

Go to Study Groups

Open the Study Groups page from the Collaboration section.
2

Enter the invite code

Click Join Group and type in the invite code you received. Clamly will add you to the group as a Member right away.

Roles and Permissions

Every study group has three roles. Each role comes with a different level of access so the right people stay in control.

Owner

The person who created the group. Owners have full control — they can manage all members, assign and revoke the Admin role, share quizzes, and delete the group.

Admin

Admins help the Owner keep the group running. They can invite new members, manage existing members, and share quizzes within the group.

Member

Regular members can view and interact with shared quizzes and participate in group activity. They cannot manage other members or change group settings.

Managing Members

As an Owner or Admin, you have the tools to keep your group organised and active.
Open the group’s Members list, find the member you want to promote, and select Make Admin. They’ll immediately gain admin-level permissions.
In the Members list, select the member and choose Remove from Group. They’ll lose access to all group content immediately and will need a new invite code to rejoin.
If you want to hand over the Owner role, select a current Admin and choose Transfer Ownership. Your role will change to Admin after the transfer.

Sharing Quizzes in the Group

Once your group is set up, you can share quizzes directly with all members so everyone has the same study material.
1

Open a quiz

Go to your Quizzes library and open the quiz you want to share.
2

Share to group

Click the Share button and select Share with Group. Choose the group from your list and confirm.
3

Members get access

All current group members can now view and use the shared quiz. Any member who joins later will also see it in the group’s shared content.

Tracking Group Activity

Clamly gives you a high-level view of what’s happening in your group so nothing slips through the cracks. From the group’s main page, you can see recent quiz shares, new members who have joined, and overall activity in the group feed. This makes it easy to stay in sync without having to message everyone individually.

Acceptable Use

You are responsible for the content you share within a study group. Make sure everything you post follows Clamly’s Terms of Service. Groups or content that violate the Terms of Service may be removed by Clamly at any time.
Keep your invite code private and only share it with people you trust. If you believe your code has been shared too widely, Owners and Admins can remove any members who shouldn’t have access.
