# Install Clamly

> Use Clamly in the browser, or install it as an app on your computer, Android phone, iPhone or iPad.

Clamly is one app everywhere. Whichever way you open it, you sign in to the same account and see the same quizzes, notes and decks.

    Install Clamly as a desktop app: its own icon, its own window, and offline support. There is nothing separate to download.

    **Chrome or Edge**

    1. Open [clamly.app](https://clamly.app) and sign in.
    2. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or use **Install Clamly** in the dashboard.
    3. Confirm with **Install**.

    **Safari on a Mac**

    1. Open [clamly.app](https://clamly.app) in Safari.
    2. In the menu bar, click **File**, then **Add to Dock…**
    3. Click **Add** in the dialog.

    There is no Android app to download yet. Install Clamly from Chrome instead: it gets its own icon and opens in its own window, like any app.

    1. Open [clamly.app](https://clamly.app) in Chrome and sign in.
    2. Tap **Install Clamly** in the banner at the top of the dashboard, or open Chrome's menu and tap **Add to Home screen**, then **Install**.
    3. Clamly appears on your home screen.

  <Tab title="iPhone and iPad">
    The iOS app is in development, and a TestFlight beta will open once Apple approves it. Until then, add Clamly to your home screen from Safari. It works the same way.

    1. Open [clamly.app](https://clamly.app) in Safari.
    2. Tap the **Share** button, the square with an arrow pointing up.
    3. Scroll down and tap **Add to Home Screen**, then **Add**.

## Using Clamly offline

When you lose your connection, Clamly shows a banner at the top of the page. Quizzes and notes you have opened recently still load from the cache, so you can keep reading and revising. Anything you create or change needs a connection to save, and AI features need one too.

## Notifications

Study reminders, exam alerts and achievement notices can arrive as push notifications, even when Clamly is closed. Turn them on in [Settings](/account/settings#notifications). If your browser says notifications are blocked, allow them for clamly.app in the browser's site settings first.
