# Create a Clamly account and start studying for free

> Step-by-step guide to signing up for Clamly using your email address or Google account. No credit card required, ready in under a minute.

Creating a Clamly account takes less than a minute and requires no credit card. Sign up with Google for a one-click setup, or register manually with your name, email, and a password.

## Sign up for Clamly

    Open [clamly.app](https://clamly.app) in your browser. On the homepage, click the **Start for free** button or the **Create your account** link to open the registration page.

  <Step title="Choose your sign-up method">
    Clamly offers two ways to register:

        Click **Continue with Google**, pick your Google account, and approve the requested permissions. Clamly pulls in your name and email automatically, so there's no form to fill out.

      <Tab title="Sign up with email">
        Fill in the registration form:

        | Field        | Requirement                              |
        | ------------ | ---------------------------------------- |
        | **Name**     | Your first and last name                 |
        | **Email**    | A valid email address you have access to |
        | **Password** | At least 8 characters                    |

        Then click **Create account**.

  <Step title="Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy">
    Before your account is created, you must agree to Clamly's [Terms of Service](https://clamly.app/terms) and [Privacy Policy](https://clamly.app/privacy). Check the agreement box to confirm you have read and accepted both documents.

      You must be at least **13 years old** to create a Clamly account. If you are under 13, you are not permitted to register.

  <Step title="Access your dashboard">
    Once registration is complete, Clamly takes you straight to your personal dashboard. From here you can start creating quizzes, writing notes, building flashcard decks, and more, with no extra setup.

      Bookmark your dashboard URL so you can return quickly from any device. Clamly works in any modern browser, no app install needed.

## Things to know before you sign up

    You can only hold one Clamly account. The Terms of Service do not permit you to create multiple accounts for yourself.

    Clamly requires all users to be at least 13 years old. By completing registration, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

  <Accordion title="No credit card needed">
    Signing up for the free plan requires no payment information. You only need billing details if you choose to upgrade to Starter or Pro.
