# Sharing quizzes and notes with your Clamly study group

> Share your quizzes with study groups, export your notes for offline study, and stay in full control of everything you create in Clamly.

You can share quizzes to a study group or export notes to a file. Clamly doesn't share anything automatically. Every share is initiated by you, and every share can be undone.

## Sharing quizzes

The primary way to share a quiz in Clamly is by posting it to a study group. Once shared, every current group member will have immediate access to it from the group's shared content feed. Members who join later see it there too.

### How to share a quiz

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your quiz">
    Go to the **Quizzes** section and open the quiz you want to share.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Share">
    Select the **Share** button in the top-right corner of the quiz page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a group">
    Select **Share with Group** and pick the study group you want to share it with from your list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Confirm your choice. The quiz is now visible to all members of that group.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## You always own your content

<Note>
  No matter how widely you share a quiz or set of notes, you retain full ownership of everything you create in Clamly. Sharing lets others view and use your content. It doesn't transfer any rights.
</Note>

## Exporting notes

To use your notes outside of Clamly, export them from the Notes page.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to Notes">
    Open the **Notes** section from the main navigation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select a note">
    Open the note you want to export.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Export">
    Click the **Export** button and choose your preferred format. Your note will download to your device.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Exporting is a great way to create a personal backup of your notes or share them with study partners who aren't on Clamly yet.
</Tip>

## What happens to shared content when you leave a group

When you leave a study group, any quizzes you previously shared with that group remain visible to its members. Your content doesn't disappear when you leave. If you want to remove specific content before leaving, delete or unshare it first.

<Accordion title="How to remove a quiz from a group before leaving">
  Open the quiz from the group's shared content feed, click **Manage Sharing**, and select **Remove from Group**. The quiz will no longer be visible to group members, and you'll still have it in your personal Quizzes library.
</Accordion>

## You control what you share

Nothing is shared without a deliberate action from you. There are no public feeds, no automatic sharing.

<Note>
  Review what you've shared periodically from the **Sharing** settings in your profile. You can see all active group shares and revoke any of them with one click.
