# Trash

> Deleted quizzes, notes, todos and flashcard decks wait in the Trash for 30 days, so you can bring them back.

Deleting something in Clamly does not destroy it straight away. Quizzes, notes, todos and flashcard decks go to the **Trash** first, and you can restore them for **30 days**.

## Restore something

1. Open **Profile**, then **Trash**.
2. Find the item. Each one shows what it is: quiz, note, todo or flashcard deck.
3. Choose **Restore**. It goes back exactly where it was.

## Delete for good

* **Delete forever** on one item removes it permanently. It cannot be restored afterwards.
* **Empty trash** removes everything in the Trash, after you confirm.
* Anything left in the Trash is removed automatically **30 days** after you deleted it.

## What does not go to the Trash

| A single flashcard | Deleted straight away, with a few seconds to undo from the message that appears |
| A chat conversation | Deleted permanently |
| A study group | Deleted permanently, by its owner |
| An uploaded document | Deleted after you confirm, with its search index. Quizzes, decks and notes made from it stay. See [Delete an upload](/ai/overview#delete-an-upload). |
| Your account | Deleted permanently. See [Delete your account](/account/delete-account). |

  Something you deleted is not in the Trash? Check it was deleted less than 30 days ago, and that it is one of the four types above.
