# Profile and settings

> Your profile card, notifications, emails, the reading aid, cookie choices and your data.

## Your profile

**Profile**, in the sidebar, shows your identity card: your avatar, display name, bio, plan and when you joined, with your study stats underneath. Edit your display name and bio from the card and choose **Save**.

Under **Data & account**, Profile also links to **Settings**, the **Trash**, and the **Help wiki**, which is this site.

**Light or dark?** Use the sun and moon toggle in the header, on any dashboard page.

## Settings

Open **Settings** from your Profile. It has six sections.

### Notifications

Switch each one on or off.

| Setting | What it sends |
| - | - |
| **Push notifications** | Browser alerts, even when Clamly is closed |
| **Email notifications** | Notification emails |
| **Exam reminders** | Alerts before upcoming exams |
| **Streak warnings** | A warning when your streak is at risk |
| **Achievements** | A notice when you unlock an achievement |
| **Quiz completed** | A notice after you finish a quiz |

  If push notifications say **Blocked. Enable in browser settings**, your browser is refusing them for clamly.app. Allow notifications for the site in your browser's settings, then switch the toggle on again. **Not supported in this browser** means that browser cannot receive them at all.

### Emails

**Marketing emails** covers news, tips and product updates. Turn it off here, or with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of those emails. Account emails, like verification, password resets, security notices, billing and the reminders you choose, always arrive.

### Reading

**Anchor reading** (Beta) bolds the first part of each word in your notes to guide your eye through dense text. It is saved on this device only and never changes the note itself.

### Privacy

**Cookie preferences** reopens the cookie choices you made in the banner. Essential cookies keep you signed in. Analytics, error reports and the support chat load only if you allow them.

### Security

Two-factor authentication, recovery codes, trusted devices and your password. See [Sign-in and security](/account/sign-in-and-security).

### Your data

* **Export your data** downloads everything you have made in Clamly. See [Your data](/privacy/your-data#export-your-data).
* **Delete account** removes your account for good. See [Delete your account](/account/delete-account).
