# Plans and billing

> Free, Starter and Pro: what each includes, what it costs, and how to upgrade, switch, cancel or get a refund.

Clamly is free forever on every core feature, with no card needed. Starter and Pro are for when you want more from Clamly AI.

Paying yearly saves 20%: Starter works out at €4.00 a month and Pro at €8.00. The exact AI allowances are in [AI usage and limits](/ai/usage).

## Upgrade

1. Open **Plans** in the sidebar.
2. Pick monthly or annual, then choose **Upgrade to Starter** or **Upgrade to Pro**.
3. Pay on Stripe's secure checkout page. Clamly never sees or stores your card details.

Your new plan is active as soon as payment goes through.

**Already on a paid plan?** Upgrading from Starter to Pro takes effect straight away. Stripe charges the prorated difference for the rest of your billing period.

## Change or cancel your plan

All of this happens on the **Plans** page.

| **Move to a cheaper plan** | Choose **Downgrade**, then **Schedule downgrade**. Your current plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then you switch, with no charge until then. |
| **Switch between monthly and annual** | Choose **Switch to annual** or **Switch to monthly**. |
| **Undo a scheduled change** | Cancel the scheduled change and your plan keeps renewing as it is. |

### Cancel your subscription

1. Open **Plans** and choose **Cancel subscription**.
2. Confirm.

You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you have paid for, you are not charged again, and then you move to Free. Nothing you made is deleted. Changed your mind before the period ends? **Resume** it from the same page.

## Billing page, invoices and payment method

Once you are on a paid plan, **Billing** appears in the sidebar. It shows:

* Your plan, and the date it **renews on** or you have **access until**
* Your billing cycle and payment method
* **Usage**: your current AI session and this week, each with a countdown to its reset

**Manage Subscription** opens Stripe's customer portal, where you can download invoices and change your card.

## Refunds

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you can withdraw from a subscription purchase within **14 days**, without giving a reason. Email [support@clamly.app](mailto:support@clamly.app) with a clear statement that you are withdrawing, the name and email on your account, and the purchase date. You get a pro-rata refund: the part of the billing period already used is deducted, and the rest goes back to your original payment method within 14 days.

Outside that window, cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the rest of a period already paid. The full terms are in the [Terms of Service](https://clamly.app/terms).

  If prices ever change, you are told by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you want to.
